Just listened to the new Kid Cudi track, Cudderisback. Immediately recognized the beat and who it was from, Vampire Weekend-Ottoman. Ojik might be the only one in K!D's that knows about this group since we've talked about them. It's my opinion that every decade has its own music that swept it. The 60's had the hippy-love music, the 70's had disco, the 80's had their rock, and the 90's had hip-hop/rap. I believe that the first decade of the 21st century was all about alternative or alternative rock music. Groups like Vampire Weekend, Death Cab for Cutie, Coldplay, and Chromeo. I'm not saying that hip-hop didn't have its moments but I thought that alternative music had more of a hold on me personally. It even influenced a lot of the freshman now Drake, Wale, and Wiz Khalifa. Just felt like they should get their just due.
very good point lite skin,didnt realize it till u mentioned it. Alterative has played a big role in 1st decade of the zeros.
